I knew I'd seen the plot of The Brave One before.

Handgun, 1983.

Anyone know this film? Young wife and mother gets raped, guy gets off on a technicality. She gets a new identity and job and everything, starts drinking in the bar where he drinks, gets along great with everyone. She's actually establishing this new identity. One of her new friends susses, but says nothing. Over the film she struggles with the two indenties.

Then she shoots him in the bar, in front of everyone. Everyone is looking for the woman who doesn't exist, not the wife and mother.
